It's friday, you know the drill!

Photobucket

I guess it's no surprise I confess every Friday, play along!!

I confess...I do watch Here comes Honey Boo Boo, and I confess I love when she says "You Better Redneckonize!!" LOL

I confess.....Boo Boo's mom is the reason I am so motivated to work out daily, and eat right. It's worked out really well for me.

I confess.....this week was the first time I ever took my kids to the library, I was really nervous. I had to find a school book because I hadn't gotten mine yet. The kids really liked sitting for about a minute reading kids books.  I decided in order for them to get used to the Library I needed to take them more.

Dear Library customer service worker,
Thank you for finding that book for me after it had been pulled and reserved for someone else, you are my hero!!! I wouldn't have been able to turn in my assignment.

I confess.....a part of me is looking forward to fall, but another part of me doesn't want the weather to be colder. I love my flip flops.

That's all I got for today! Have a wonderful weekend.

Oy

Yesterday was one busy cray cray day.
School started and I waited too long to get my books and now I have none.

In the morning we went to a play date, came home took a nap, ran to the bookstore after nap to find a school book I needed, which I thankfully got for my assignment due today. Then ran to the school bookstore to get the software I needed for my homework which they didn't have yet cause I ordered it online...so luckily I was able to download a trial version until my order is ready in a few days..

Clara is at that age where she doesn't want to hold my hand which is fine normally because she stays close and everything but in parking lots I don't allow it. I never know what she'll do but little miss independent still doesn't want to hold my hand and in downtown on campus on the first day of school it's pretty busy.  So I look like a cray cray mom (or a kid stealer) holding tight to my daughters hand while she screams because I don't want to let her go.......

Everyone was in the bookstore and I was scared I'd lose my kids and they'd embarrass me. I mean we all lived and I was a little embarrassed by their behavior when they started climbing on things at the library, but c'est la vie right?  I hope I spelled that right.

I'd also like to know what everyone out there does when their kid has to go potty and there isn't a restroom nearby and you know they have to go like right then....I know I'm the type of mom that will be like go pee in that nearby bush..or on a tire.....

Carson had to pee before we got in the car after the bookstore and there was no way to be discrete. People were walking by and it just looked weird me pulling my kids pants down for him to pee but it had to be done, especially with my little one already in the car. I felt mortified and especially if someone didn't have kids, probably wouldn't understand.

Anyway, that was our eventful day.

My homework assignment was pretty fun I had to experiment with different brush strokes from the Corel Painter software. It was pretty exciting...lets hope all my assignments are this easy :).

First assignment...nailed it!

Mom of the year award...nailed it!

Have a great day.

Link up with Mamarazzi and Crazymama!

{one} WYR...Never be able to look in the mirror again or always get dressed in total darkness?
~ I think I'd rather never look in the mirror...I've gotten dressed in the dark before and it's just not a happy thing...except doing my make up would be really hard....I'd just be ugly either way you take it so without a mirror I guess.

{two} WYR...Receive $50 a day for the rest of your life or $50,000 right here and now?
~$50 a day for the rest of my life for sure!

{three} WYR...Have extreme narcolepsy or have a bad case of tourette's?
~ Extreme Narcolepsy..can I get some sleep up in here?!

{four} WYR...Be able to rewind 24 hrs 3 times a year or consciously control your dreams?
~ Rewind 24 hrs 3 times a year. I don't have really creepy dreams so I think I'd rather rewind but I probably wouldn't do it much either.

{five} WYR...Be fluent in every language around the world or be the best in the world in a category of your choosing?
~Fluent in every language. I always want to know what the people in the nail salons are saying and one day I'd love to just join in on their conversation!

I'm So Happy!!!

Photobucket

There's a lot going on and I think making a happy list is exactly what I need for today.

I'm happy about my post yesterday. Here

  • Especially the pictures of my little girl, she makes me so happy. My son also makes me equally happy, but he's more independent and doesn't need mommy as much. He is doing so well with his workbooks and as much as I'd like him to be in pre-school it makes me happy to know that maybe I could teach him myself.  I just hope it will be a good thing for him and not bad. He's really good socially so I don't worry about that. He makes friends really easily and for that I am HAPPY.

  • I'm happy to see my son start soccer practice tonight. I can't wait to see him running around clueless. Such a new and exciting thing for him, and I can't wait.

I'm a little nervous that my daughter will want to be joining my son on the field, but we'll see how that goes. She usually wants to do everything that he does, so maybe we can kick the ball on the sidelines or something.

  • I'm happy for Play dates! It's so nice to get together with friends and have your kids play for a  day. It breaks up the day and it seriously makes me a more loving and patient mom.  I don't know why, but it does.
  • I'm happy for good friends. It is important who you hang out with and I don't know what I'd do without them. I hope they know how special they are to me. The ones I've known that live far away and those I've met within the last year that have become dear to me and new ones that I  meet for the first time. I enjoy every friendship and cherish them so dearly! Friends have always had a special place in my heart, close to family.  Yeah I'm a sap.  They encourage me to be better, they lift me up, they make me a better me and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Now my favorite happy song...I'm such a mom for a Yo Gabba Gabba song to be my favorite :) I love it.

Even at 30 I'm still figuring out my life..will it ever end?

I figure I should take a moment to post. I'm about to work out my big booty and school will be starting in a couple of days, so there is no telling when I'll be able to post.

This year my school is no longer sending me money to buy my books, but rather giving me in store school credit...which really blows because I can find books cheaper elsewhere so yet another way for school to make more money.

School is stressful..not to mention I'm thinking about changing my major. I still have to look into what I need to get my massage license. No doubt I'll have to get more schooling, if I can I'd like to change my major to massage therapy but continue photography classes as well.

I love massage, I love helping people. I honestly and truly do. Some people ask "how can you massage some people?" or will say I don't know how you can do it, but it's so professional and intention is everything, I have nothing but good intentions to heal a person when they are on my table.  I'm so passionate about it, it's something I have to do, even part time in my life.  I can hear my husband right now "why don't you massage me."  I have to laugh out loud because I honestly should make it a goal to massage him more, he deserves it as hard as he works.

I guess I have more sentiment for those actually in pain living day to day.  I feel for them, so many times I've massaged individuals and I could tell exactly where there pain was, and I could even guess as to what they may be doing to create that pain. Guessing someone used to play basketball or where they usually put their purse on their shoulders. If they sit at a desk all day for work. That's amazing to even me.  I never wanted to massage full-time because when I did I realized how taxing it was on my body so I cut back, and then after the kids came cut back even more. I don't want to lose what I had, so we'll see what happens from here. I talked to the massage school I graduated from Utah College of Massage Therapy, which is amazing because they help graduates locate work no matter where you are. They were willing to help me. They said the state that I live is really hard to obtain licensure or they need a lot of schooling, so I predict I'll be taking classes.

My only concern is the kids. If it's during the week I have to do school I don't know if I can do it because I won't have a sitter for the kids.  We'll just have to see what happens next.

So that's a little of my past a little of my future.

This weekend we checked out this cool park and I got a few pictures of the kids. This was my favorite of Clara. I still have to edit the others.  I just love watching her grow, and even though me working would alleviate much stress financially, I can't imagine leaving my kids to a stranger every day. I've bonded with them so much over these last 2 years, and I don't want to stop.

So this picture is one that was taken in July when we visited family.
This was my brothers trampoline and I just happened to catch this moment of Clara falling on her face.
She got back up and was fine, but it's just kind of funny and I wanted to share. Completely random, but funny.

Hope everyone enjoys their week.

Confessions of a first time mamma, and cell photos this week

Confessions of a first time mamma....
These boots have been sitting in my sons closet since he was a baby. He was probably around 1 year old, and I didn't have a clue as to what shoe size he was.   No one gives you instructions on kids shoe sizes.

While shopping online for cute boots I found this pair, see the sign says kids/infants...not his size.

Yeah, they are still a little big on him and he's 4.

Not infants shoes, so I guess kids.

I know my son is a size 10/11 now, but I don't know what this 1 is?

I guess I will figure that out.

I took them out yesterday to see if they would fit him and he enjoyed putting them on and playing with them, so I guess it was money well spent?

Dear local Zoo,
I love you and love that I can go there with my kids one day and only see one part of the zoo and have so much fun with my kids there.
The kids love the petting zoo.
Mommy loves watching the polar bears

 My kids love the animals

Dear Clara boo,
I hope you have better self esteem than your mommy and realize how beautiful you are inside and out!
Mommy loves you so much and smiles every time she looks at you!

Dear 2 Broke Girls,
So I really got a craving for cupcakes after watching old episodes, which is a funny show. Except every time I watch them eat cupcakes, I get hungry for one....so I made some.

My kids thank you.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

New adventures.

It's about time I've linked up with Emmymom & Kmama.

I just love her and I'm surprised it's taken me THIS long!

I've entered a new stage of mommyhood, I guess you can say.  I do teach my kids some things when the opportunity arises, but since I've decided to do preschool at home I'm kind of turning into a teacher a few hours a day for my 4 year old. I want him ready for Kindergarten next year. I realize we have a long way to go, but I'm putting the pressure on and trying my very best.

I tried to teach Carson his colors and shapes, numbers and letters before, and he would do well but then completely forget.  I would get frustrated and think there is never anyway I could homeschool my children.  Heavenly Father has given me many talents and gifts, patience is not one of them.

But in an attempt for us to save money I have to teach my child at home for now.

I have to say I've been so impressed and proud of my little boy.
I've bought these little workbooks for him to work out of. Tracing letters and coloring.  He's done really well with mazes.  I was pretty amazed he could even do them when he was whipping through the pages. I'm like lets slow down and save some of this for another day. He is very eager to learn and even more eager to start school....sniffle, my baby!  Yesterday we were working on the letter A and he even did so well writing them by himself without tracing.
He saw me taking pictures and wanted me to take one of him like this. His daddy puts his pencil behind his ear and he loves imitating daddy.
Coloring with red, which he knew the color
When he's concentrating really hard he sticks out his tongue a little. It's so cute.

I mostly want his learning experience to be fun so he looks forward to it everyday.
But he was so cute yesterday when he said "Mommy, your like a teacher." I was like yup I am.
So proud of the young man he's turning into.  Hopefully it doesn't go by too fast!

We want to Know....Sickness version

null

Link up your answers with Crazymama and Mamarazzi.

1. If you are sick in bed how do you entertain yourself? TV, books, sleep?
~ I sleep a lot when I'm sick in bed. I may watch something on my kindle or read a book, but I'm mostly sleeping.

2. Do you share your medical drama with the world or keep it to yourself?
~ I haven't had anything too serious, but I'd probably have to tell some people, they'd wonder where I was.

3. Do you pray, send healing thoughts and hugs or good vibes to friends when they are ill or sad?
~ Always pray, and think about them and the hard times they are going through. It's so hard cause I never know what to do, but I always let them know I'm here if they need me.

4. If someone offers to bring in dinner to you or your family, do you let them?
~It's really hard for me to accept anything from anyone, other than family.  When I had Clara, I told people not to bring meals, but I was really excited and thankful for those that did anyway, it helped me out a lot and I was glad they did it and very appreciative, but I have a real problem asking for it.

5. If you could ask for any meal or treat  when you were sick/sad/healing,  what would it be?
~Anything would be fine, like the above I probably wouldn't ask for anything other than medicine or fluids from my husband :).  Ice cream always makes me feel better when I'm sick though :)

Marvelous Mondays!!

This weekend was our last summer hoorah if you will. School starts this week for the hubs and then next week for myself. I will be taking 4 classes this semester as opposed to the 3 I'm used to. We switched from Quarters to semesters. Needless to say I'm really worried about my workload, but I'm really ready to learn and focus on school this semester.

My husband has been wanting to go to Lake Erie for a long time. Mostly Kelly's Island but we didn't make it there this weekend. Instead we checked out Maumee Bay in Lake Erie.
So fun, I think this saturday was probably the most beautiful day! I sure hope everyone got out and enjoyed the weather this Saturday because it was absolutely perfect!

Of course I had to take a million plus pictures.
We woke up early Saturday morning cleaned the church which was surprisingly fun, but don't tell my Bishop because I don't want to do it every week or anything :).
We drove about 3 hours to Maumee Bay.
The kids had so much fun, they love water, which is great. I remember being in the water all the time when I was a kid as well. I think next year or maybe even this winter if there is an indoor pool swimming lessons will be in order for the kids.

 Seashell....and dirty nails..yuk
Love her chunky butt and legs!!

 Beach baby
The most gorgeous day for building sand castles.

 Splashing in the lake

Hi Mom.

I can't wait til we can take the kids to the actual beach/ocean. Lakes are fun and everything but really dirty and sicko.

I didn't mind the drive, sometimes I love driving long distance and putting on my iPod and singing to my favorite songs. One song I was particularly happy to hear that I forgot about was "Girl put your records on" By Corinne Bailey Rue....here it is if you haven't heard it. I seriously LOVE this song. It's one of those fun to sing along to songs! Where can I get this on Kareoke?!

Friday Favorites

I just have  a few favorite things to share for today.

Gosh I love Pandora, as I type this my little girl and I are jamming to the LMFA station! :)

Dear Canon,
I desperately want one!! What can I do?? What do I have to do to get one??  Lovin IT!

I found this website called Milanoo, but I've been reading that it's not a legit company or a scam so I haven't ordered anything but I seriously am loving some things I'm seeing...esp this little number.

Happy Friday!
