Monday you kill me.

Holy macaroni it has been a long time since I've been able to blog. I have to say it has been on my mind. I've thought about posting things here and there but never actually sat down to do it. So here I am on my phone writing this post.
So why does Monday kill me?? I'm going to go on a homemaker rampage here and if you don't want to read complaining just leave now. I feel maybe someone out there can relate.  So every weekend nothing gets done in our house, in fact because everyone is home playing and doing things the mess just piles up. The laundry, the dishes, the toys and clothes. Yes the clothes! How does so much clothes accumulate in the living room!?   Come Sunday I just want to rest and not do anything so it all gets neglected.
Monday arrives. Send the kindergartner to school (the hubs does) and I usually wake up to make sure nothing is forgotten (you know hair and teeth brushed, make sure he has lunch if he doesn't like the school lunch, etc) Hubs goes to wo…

Thoughts on the Government today...

When our forefathers created the Constitution "The two groups (federalists and anti-federalists) fiercely disagreed more over means than ends, however.  Both sides, for the most part, acknowledged that a stronger national authority was needed and that such an authority required an independent source of revenue to function properly.  Both sides were convinced that the people must erect safeguards against tyranny, even the tyranny of the majority."

" The losers in the debate-the anti-federalists- graciously accepted defeat; they did not resort to violence, and many of them went on to become prominent leaders in the federal government: James Monroe became the fifth president; George Clinton and Elbridge Gerry became vice presidents; and Samuel Chase served on the Supreme Court."

I find we can learn a lot today from our history. Our President can lear…

A little school help! Photographers and Clients who have received Photography services.

Good morning fellow bloggers and friends,

I am conducting a short survey for a research paper I am writing in my business comm class.

This is the first time I am using to upload my files. These are standard .doc files. Click the link below and then click download under the file link, next click the grey bar that says free download. It will download to your computer and you can fill out the questionnaire and e-mail back to me @   If you'd like to help and don't want to download the file please e-mail me and I can either e-mail the questions to you or the file.

I 100% assure you these files have 0 viruses. A dialog box may pop up in word doc because it was created on a mac in pages and then saved as a doc file so not everything will be the same and may sometimes look different on a windows computer, but you can just close the dialog box.

Letters for Friday

I've been wanting to link up this post somewhere but I can't remember the blog for it. I suppose I'll find it sometime.

Dear Blogger, Why can't I search topics and subjects? I feel like I should be able to look at blogs, but I don't know how. Only ones I've found through blog hopping and half the times on my reader I can't remember which blog is which.  I should be able to search for posts. I can't find other bloggy mom's or funny bloggers I might want to read. Or meme's I might want to join. I think you should work on a search option. Call me, when I'm finished with web design classes.

Dear Dublin,
You want to hire my husband, you need to hire my husband. He will be amazing!!! Give him a chance.

Dear Carson,
You started your first week in Kindergarten and I'm so proud of you! You make mommies eyes well up with tears when I see your shining happy face. I miss you during the day but am so happy to see all the things you'…

I have a kindergartener!

I meant to post yesterday while the day was still fresh in my mind but I got busy and tired and watched Dr. Who.

Yesterday was my son's first day of Kindergarten. He was so excited he kept telling everyone at church the day before he was starting school.  Except he would say "I'm going to school" was all he would manage to get out.
He didn't mind going to bed around 7:30 and I believe was out before my 2 year old. He knew when he went to sleep and woke up it'd be time for school
So I set my alarm for 5:30  6:00 AM. I could not sleep. My husband went into work for a few hours and everything was running through my mind. I bet I only got 1-2 hours of sleep tops. So when I finally fell asleep around 4 I hit my snooze button til 6:00AM.  At that point I had an internal conversation with myself, Vanessa, it's 6:00 you need to leave at 7:00,  that leaves you an hour to get everyone up fed and dressed, WAKE UP! So out of bed I rolled.
After I got myself ready I…

Firefly fun

I got the idea to have the kids catch firefly's one night while we were on vacation.
I made little firefly catchers out of mason jars. I think the kids had lots of fun. But it was super hot outside. So it wasn't like we could capture them all night. We did also let them go once we captured them.  My son was pretty good at catching them.   I decided I will probably make our trip into a few posts since I've got a few fun things photographed.

It was my niece's birthday the week we went and she wore her little birthday girl tiara everywhere it was too cute. Look at that attitude.

The kids just look sweaty to me. It was really super hot. Like super humid and hot and sticky yuck.

Carson's Birthday!! Home Sweet Kentucky Home

Last month we celebrated Carson's 5th Birthday!

I made this little electronic Invite for his birthday. Not perfect but I think it's cute!!

My little soon to be Kindergartener. Which reminds me we got a letter in the mail from Carson's new school and will be attending Kindergarten Orientation this month. Carson is so excited to meet his teacher and see his new school.

I will probably be the only parent crying..I should just let it all go...I probably will....

so glad I don't really know any parents there yet, but I will probably be labeled "that mom"....whoever "that mom" is? You know, the one that cries all the time. I never ball but my eyes get could say. When my son blocks a ball from the soccer goal..when he kicks the ball, when I see just complete happiness, and even when we all sang happy birthday to him.  I am "that mom".

I can't help it, I am emotional. I remember my boss telling me that, where I worked years ago. &…
