Boys Clothing 2015 My favs this fall!

Do me a favor and check it out for yourself because I always contemplate working full-time just so that I can binge shop when I receive their newest catalog.    H&M WEBSITE

Honestly as soon as I began this idea to blog my favorite clothing items I began thinking how on earth I could show images that weren't my own.   I am a photographer, and even though I am providing links to the clothing and the website I'm not completely comfortable with it. That being said this will probably be my last post.

I did use the images and created a neat background and put some selections together. Which is completely my own. The images of clothing and the child however are the property of H&M.

Starting from the top down these items are my fall must haves:

The UFO button down Shirt is awesome. I bought a polka dot shirt they came out with just before this and I had to beg my 7 year old son to wear it. Once he did he decided he loves it and wants to wear it more often. So I love the new ideas and modern ways they have really made the standard oxford shirt.

Pair it with a striped sweater like below or their henley tops.

I have to say something about this slim leg Jean in black.  I bought them for my son this year. My boy has skinny legs and I love the way they look on him. If he were a thicker boy I don't think they would work but for his body type they fit so great and he looks awesome wearing them with just about anything.  So check out those black skinny leg jeans.

*Shopping Tip*
Whenever I am searching for items of clothing for myself or my children I always keep in mind body type.  Baggy jeans sometimes don't look good on my son because he's so slender, and my daughter can almost never wear jeans because of her badonkadonk and she's a little thicker on bottom. Buy things that flatter the body!

These high tops I love!

The Red White and Blue Patterned hooded sweatshirt is one of my fall favs for boys. I love it. I asked my son if he would wear it and he said "Yes, it looks like Captain America". Boys right?

The Shawl Cowl Sweater I love also but I don't know if I could convince my son to wear it? I might try!

I am also in love with the Hooded top with printed Motif NYC Hoodie I love the hood and I love the look of it.

Hope you love these items as much as I do!!
Happy Shopping!

My Fav Girls dresses For today on Zulily.

If you know me well, you know that I love clothing. I love fashion and girlie things. I especially love dressing my girls in really adorable outfits.

My son, he is a different story. I am not quite sure what kind of style I like for him, however the older he gets the more his personal style comes out and mommy has to adapt to his type which is more t-shirt and basketball pants type active wear.  He will still wear some things I get him and I now ask him before I Buy anything for him if he would wear it and if he likes it. It's kind of fun for me. I would rather buy something he is going to wear than something he is going to fight me over wearing or an item that he doesn't wear at all.

Why am I telling you all this, because I have decided to fulfill my need to shop online and search clothing and use my blog to put items of clothing together that I JUST LOVE, and I will try to do this daily, although lets be honest I don't know if I have the time. So maybe weekly could be a better commitment at this moment?

A lot of friends always ask me "where do you buy your kids clothes?" Well, now you will know...EVERYWHERE!!!  (Insert laugh here)

Here is where I will post my favs that I find! You will want to subscribe because these will be sales, deals, seasonal things that I find when I find them!

Today my finds are on Zulily . Do me a favor, register and lets get this started because I LOOOVE Zulily.

With Richie House the magic is in the details and they know how to make some frilly girly details which is my favorite. The best thing is if these products are gone from Zulily you can find them on Amazon.com or even their website  Richie House.   See Girly, and who cares if these are summery outfits, pair them with a legging or tight and boots and you are good to go. Who couldn't use a yellow coat also? Love that little lace ruffle pocket peek-a-boo!!

Randomlicious Updates! Happy Housewives Day!

I wouldn't say blogging has taken a backseat in my life,  a more accurate depiction would be in the trunk!

I think about it at random times during the day some weeks and of course, at that exact moment I don't know what to blog about so back in the trunk it goes.

I am finally finished with my Associates degree in graphic design I had been working years to finish since my oldest was 4 and my middle child was 2.  I've had a new baby while finishing my last semester, moved to a new home and it was so hard, but I did it.   I couldn't have finished the semester without amazing friends to help me while I went into work on my internship and took tests at the university! It really was through the support of my friends and my husband that I was able to finish! I am so grateful!  YIPPEEE!!!

I did have a thought today, since it's national housewives day. I have been a stay at home mom for about 5 years now, before then I've held a job since I was 16.  Minus the time I was in Utah for a year obtaining my massage therapy degree and I couldn't get a job there for the life of me. I don't know why, but I tried!

When I was in high school I was a part of the FHA, The Future Housewives of America. I think the only reason I joined that association was because one of my best friends did. I honestly never thought I would be a stay at home mom (my mother wasn't).  I didn't even picture myself getting married or having children at that point in my life. I didn't even know what I wanted to do after high school let alone think about marriage or children!  It's interesting to me that now I am a housewife of America!

I am so happy I get to be a housewife, I think back to what we did in that club and I can't quite remember. It makes me laugh. I think we just sat around talking.  Sometimes we housewives do chat with our friends and it's wonderful!

I'm so blessed to be able to raise my children and spend time with them every day. I feel better knowing that they spend most of their time with me.  I had a parent teacher conference after school one day and as I sat waiting for my turn to meet with the teacher, I noticed down the hall a bunch of children and some teachers. Some kind of after school program going on, no doubt for working parents that can't be there after school.   It made me sad to think when they get home they may just eat dinner do homework and go to sleep.  My kids go to bed early during the weekdays. I just imagined those children didn't get to spend that much time with their parents.

The older two go off to school but when they get home I am here to help them with their homework and teach them how to clean up after themselves and help set the table and get ready for bed. I enjoy reading to them and hearing them read. I love being home with my littlest daughter 20 months old seeing her learn and grow.  Some people get paid to be nannies and I don't get paid anything to do the same things. I work so hard and most days it's so exhausting I don't have the energy to do anything when the kids go to bed.   My husband is amazing and does so much when he gets home. I am truly blessed beyond anything I could have ever imagined!

Every day is a sacrifice. I don't want people to think, "oh they must make enough money to do that, lucky them!" No! We had to change many things in order to be able to do this. We have 1 income now, when I used to make the most money between us. We sacrificed things and money for me to be able to stay home with my children. It was hard, it still is hard, but I honestly believe anyone can do it.  You  may have to move into a smaller home, you may have to get rid of all your debt, you may have to sell a car, but you can do it.

I know the blessings of being a stay at home mom outweigh the hard times a hundredfold!

Happy Housewives Day!

Teachable Moments With My 7 Year Old

I like to think of myself as a teacher to my children.  I really try to teach them life's lessons as they come.  Sometimes I am not very good at it, and other times words flow from my mouth.

This evening, as I was cooking dinner such a moment occurred. My 7 year old looked up at me with those big beautiful blue eyes and said something like, he dreamed he could have a nice car one day.   I looked at him and said
"You can have whatever you dream of."  His big eyes grew even bigger,
"I can have anything I dream?" he asked.
"Anything you want, you dream it first and then," I added "then, you have to work really hard and you can have whatever you want."

I could see the determination in his eyes as he processed the information I just told him.

Of course he will learn along the way he can't always get whatever he wants, but he can work towards whatever he wants.

I love little moments like these because my parents didn't teach me life's lessons all that much, or give me a lot of encouragement. Mostly the only talks I got was when I did something wrong and it was usually from my father.

I look forward to seeing my sons determined face as he grows bigger and seeing what dreams he brings to life.

Love you son, you make mommy proud.

Last Day Of School! Keep In Touch Card Free Printable

Just because it's the last day of school doesn't mean your kids and their friends can't play together!

*Personal information is blacked out.

I wanted to make cards, something my son could hand out to his new friends at school. We just moved here last year and he was really sad about saying goodbye for the summer. This way if they want to play they can give him a call.  Luckily, I found this cute saying online from She's kinda crafty who had the same idea. I made the card and thought I'd share it with you!

The card is a rectangle on the printout and I used an edge cut out to get the round edges.  I love those little things, they make cards so cute.  The font I used is Janda Silly Monkey

Click the google doc link below for the free .pdf file.
Have a great summer!

Sleepless nights

1:44AM Lola my 14 month old was extra fussy tonight.... Like hadn't woken up at night for a while now, maybe a couple months she's been going to sleep with her siblings and staying asleep til 7:30. I bring her into our room, she crawls off the bed and leads me to the kitchen, points to her high chair. I put her in the chair, she points to an old sippy cup on the table. I give her a new sippy cup with milk, she drinks seems happy. Not sure what else she wants. I'm hoping she doesn't think it's morning and want food. I pick her up change her diaper hold and rock her in her room for a little, she sees sissy sleeping in her bed next to her crib. She rubs her eyes, I feel like she might be ready for sleep again. I tell her it's night night, sing a lullaby, put her back in her crib, tuck her in. Say goodnight Lola (normal routine) tip toe to my room, wait to hear if she cries...... FB status update (I later realize this is too long for FB copy paste to blogger)

10-20 min later oldest son gets up to go to the bathroom....

I hear the 14 month old 5 min later a little pout and then silent.

This night of strange events began probably because around 5pm Lola my 14 month old brought me her footie pajamas. I had left them on the couch in the playroom and I didn't know if she wanted to wear it because she was already dressed in her day clothes? We change her into her footie pajamas at night.  I asked her if she wanted to go night night and it looked as if maybe that's what she wanted, she sometimes takes a second nap at 3:30-4....I'm beginning to think she is growing out of second naps. Maybe 5 was just too late for a nap. She didn't seem ready to sleep when we laid the other kids down close to 8 pm. Normally she will sleep right with them.

Or she's teething....ugh toddlers and the uncertainty!  Even now I can't tell if she's sleeping in her crib or just laying there quiet?

Yesterday's sleep saga, I arose from my slumber as I heard footsteps around 4 AM. I could see from the night lights in the hall someone lurking by our room. I call Clara? She comes into the room and says she saw a flying black bug.  I know she must have been dreaming because the other night a hermit crab was on her hand (in her sleep) and she had to come sleep with me. Plus how could she see a black bug flying in the dark?  She goes potty, then says she wants the hall light on, so I put on the hall light and back into bed she goes. I'm not entirely convinced she fell back asleep because my husband woke up at 6 for work. She came into my bed around when he woke up and was moving around the whole time til I woke up with the babe around 7:30.

I have a feeling I am in for an even more eventful night. It's now 3AM.. I don't know if I could fall asleep if I tried.

Babe whimpers......
